PREPARED

FEMA is developing updated flood maps for Harris County using MAAPnext data.

While these maps will not set flood insurance rates, they may affect which properties are required to carry flood insurance once they become effective.

Flooding can happen anywhere—even outside mapped flood zones. Flood insurance and a plan in place are smart ways to protect your home and peace of mind.
